Located in a charming southern French village, the Château des Roches Fleuries is a beautifully- renovated 18th Century château in whose grounds have been built a number of luxuriously- appointed villas with gardens. Spacious and light, the villas are all arranged on two floors with large gardens backed by trees and offering views of the chateau and its fairy-tale turrets. Interiors are very well appointed, with modern bathrooms, kitchens and air-conditioning/heating systems.
The château itself plays home to three stunning apartments, each benefitting from high ceilings, tall windows and original features such as wood beams and intricate cornicings. The estate also offers a large shared pool with sun bathing deck and parking for all residents, and plenty of mature trees that provide shade during the hot summer months.
The village of Lezignan-la-Cebe is a typical Languedoc wine-making village, and it has a very good bakery and other small shops. Only 5 minutes away is the beautiful town of Pézenas, with its sumptuous 17th century carved-stone façades and pretty wooden doors. It was once the capital of the region, playing host to Louis XIV no less. Today it’s one of the most beautiful towns in France, a warren of pretty streets lined with shops and artists’ ateliers – as well as great restaurants and bars. The Saturday market here is excellent, with stall holders selling the freshest of local fruit and vegetables as well as delicious charcuterie, tapenades, cheeses and olives.
