Les Jardins de Saint Benoît, completed in 2009, formed an authentic extension of a pretty Corbières village. Le Couvent d’Hérépian, a boutique hotel in the Orb Valley, allows guests to relax in the resplendant confines of a 17th century former convent. At Château de La Redorte, the grand estate rooms and parlours of a huge château, overlooking the tranquil Canal du Midi, have been transformed into elegant apartments, with a pool, spa, wine ‘tunnel’ and restaurant providing the opportunity to relax and enjoy the flavours of the local area. And at the Domaine de la Mandoune, a former wine domain on the edge of the stunning Thau Lagoon, guests can stoll to the water’s edge and enjoy fresh oysters and mussels at a restaurant overlooking the oyster beds and sea.
Each project starts with the choosing of the property – and with extensive research into its history. Our ties to local communities and government ensures we’re trusted to take on even the most prestigeous of buildings. Our team of architects and designers then get to work, imagining small slices of Mediterannean paradise. In doing so, they balance a respect for the history and character of the building and surrounding estate with the need to provide high levels of luxury and confort. Each resort also has to offer facilities that surprise and delight, while also integrating seemlessly into the surrounding natural habitat and community.
The results are truly impressive – a portfolio of very different properties, each with its own unique history and ties to the local community. But all sharing our one simple philosophy, of offering ‘authentic luxury’ that offers residents a more real experience of a place and its unique ‘art de vivre’.
